To All School Students: wanna have a Cool, Highly Paid Career in NZ? Then consider either a B.Com (Economics) & Law Conjoint Degree, or Medicine.

rmacculloch

Universities NZ has studied what our graduates get paid. The two highest are medicine & a conjoint BCom (Economics) - Law (honours) degree. Medicine sits at $225,000 per annum on average (see below), law honours at $180,000 & economics honours at $147,000. Those degrees are way higher than others. Should you not wish to study Medicine, then the moral of the story is to come join my Law & Economics class at Auckland University, which you will find not only exciting, but also brimming with students doing BCom / LLB (that is, BCom / Law) degrees. They will be amongst the most influential and highest paid folks in the country in future years, provided they don't leave. Hospitality, which means looking after demanding overseas tourists, appears lowest. So maybe avoid that one. Just saying.
